The next big Lotus event this year will be the Lotus On Track (LOT) Lotus Festival to be held at Snetterton Race Circuit over the weekend of 13/14 Jun 2009. Planning is in an early stage but as it is 20 years since the M100 Elan was launched an LEC presence is planned. There will be an attempt for a World Record for Lotus cars and a possibility of a factory visit

I was geared up to go up on Saturday - not buying parts at Hethel but thought I'd pop in and say hi - and then down to Snetterton for a few hours early afternoon.
Is any one else going up?

Yes we are going. We are going to Hethel to pick up some bits too, so not sure what time we will be there!

Me and Enright were discussing this the other day and thought we could convoy in again. Depending on timing we could presumably meet up with others enroute.

I'm heading up on Saturday afternoon, but heading into Norwich only for a night out if you see my car around... Just going to the event on Sunday though.

I've got bits to buy from the factory & will be camping over too.
Is anything actually arranged for Saturday? If not, how about a drive to the coast?

If we go the same way as last time it will be A1 - A11 - A14 so it would be down past your way. As for the time I dont know, I said I'd see when everybody was going first.

a trip to the coast might not be a bad idea... dont want to go to far as its already 180ish miles and its costing 20p a mile at the moment!!! is it a normal amount?

Practice, qualifying and racing at ........................ Snetterton!
Guess there'll be a chance to make purchases from the clubs and trade stands on the least busier of the days ..............
as Sunday will be a lot of hanging around for the GBoR attempt and then The LEC parade lap (they reckon on 20 M100s but I know we'll top that!).

Ok, someone's got to mention a time then. Only a suggestion, so if you feel it is too early or late, then say so.
How about 10.00 at the services on the A14/A11 at Newmarket? That should get us to Hethel for about 11.00.

I got a phone call from Neil earlier saying he had got stuck in third gear (suspected gear cables or gear stick) therefore we may have trouble getting there for 10:00, a couple of hours later is more likely.

If you mean an indemnity form, I'm printing some spares out now.
I'm not meeting Dave Eds at 10.00 (as I suggested earlier), but 11.00 at GST Performance in Newmarket. That should get us to Hethel at about 1.00.
Neil - good luck with getting 3rd sorted.
