Our Elans were built to be driven and not all of us want to to use them on Track Days. If you use, or plan to use, your Elan as a Grand Tourer and have completed or are planning some great trips then inspire the rest of us with the details.

Hello all!
For the second time in its history, the French Lotus Club organized a meeting dedicated to the M100.
This occurred last week-end, in the most volcanic area of France (around the towns of Riom, Clermond Ferrand, la Bourboule).
The roads were great. We notably went to the very site of a famous rally (Course de côte du Mont Dore). 2 days of really sporty rides with 13 (on saturday) to 14 cars (on sunday).
Hope you will enjoy the pictures just as we enjoyed being there!

Looks great. And a very decent number of Elans.

I think Les Frog have put Les Ros Bifs to shame. We haven't had a turnout that good since Donington many years ago
And nice to see them all colour coordinated.
Just one question. Is there only 1 Collapso Red in the whole of France ? No Blackies either

The Colonials didn't do too badly in August...

No, there isn't only one Calypso Red in France. We also have some Calypso pink...

Indeed the reds often collapse!
Not all the thirty (today) M100 from the club were there by the way.
I've never seen a black M100 in France till now. We have a rare S1 steel blue (pictured) and a S2 midnight blue, though.
Now I may not know all the M100 there are here.

Except for Brands Hatch this year....
.... but I have to admit, it's a bloody good effort considering the total number in France, and does put us to shame a bit.....
Well done to those who made the effort to get together

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it
...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

I don't think so.
But there were 2 people from the Netherlands, who now live in France.
I'm glad that you appreciate the pictures. So here are additional ones.
I was alone in my car, so there are many pictures taken when driving and then mostly of rear sides of other cars. Now, you may also feel as being there...
