Seems I maybe posted it in the wrong forum, so here is my query again, just to make sure it gets seen:
Not getting any PM notifications at the moment, and when I try to upload any pictures I get the following:
Could not upload attachment to ./files/8555_06c6ea9301ac47d544d874317d9a863c.
….or similar.
Powers that be?

Hi Folks,
I have just deleted a chunk of 'unused' pictures from the forum which has created a bit of space and allows pictures to be uploaded again.
The reason this is happening is that we have limited space on the server and we keep filling it up; there are currently ~14,000 pictures consuming 1.5GB of space on the server, so it is hardly surprising that it keeps filling up.
Please think twice before you add a photo as an attachment to a post, as it will eat into the limited space we have left; we'll put our heads together and see if there is a way to either increase the space or remove attachments that are 'past their sell-by'. For those who aren't aware, we are kindly provided with web hosting by LEF, so we have to be good house-guests...
Thanks all,
Martin.

I'll host pictures offsite from now on.
I always find it frustrating when I go onto a forum and a useful piece of information has pictures that are no longer hosted on Photobucket or wherever, without which the info becomes less useful or even useless.
I appreciate there is a balance to be found between keeping the site full of useful/relevant pictures and not charging for usage, although I'd be happy to pay for membership/usage here.
