Well , i would say thats not the best angle to show them off , but myself and others were running them and i actually quite like them , and think they are a an improvement on the dated alpines that we al currently run .

But that price for a Kia is top heavy and i don't think the quoted Kia price is very accurate .
Jim Clark S2 - 1/12. The one with the Yellow spoke wheels . No 613 on dash (pushed in to factory in wrong order 615 on tub)

And apparently more powerful with a 150bhp 1.8 engine......
I thought a stock se was 165bhp......tweeked to about 200+ with a chip and an exhaust.......

It seems that 150bhp is more than 165bhp!
Once the turbo cuts in, torque is a lot less peaky than an NA too & this is true of most charged engines so a 165bhp turbo is more powerful in real terms & not just on paper.

Marketing ploy called "halo effect". Ford used it with great success with various products in '60s and '70s: viz rally/racing wins with fast Escorts (Twincam BDA GT etc etc), but sold loads of 1300L to blokes who thought and wanted to give the impression they were driving the fast version.

Still used today as a psychological puller into the showroom by every car manufacturer though.

Just take a look around Mercedes main showroom at Brooklands: full of old discountinued models, F1 stuff as well as current models.
