Elan M100 Breaking for parts

Postby Cyrixv8 » Tue 30.01.2018, 10:02

After 15 years of Elan ownership I've decided break my car up for parts. The chassis/wishbone is damaged on one side at the rear from an accident and the rear arms on the other side are heavily corroded, too much to repair so the time has come to part ways.

The car is a Pacific Blue 1991 M100, completely standard, 75,000 miles.

Red stripe interior

8/10 condition cosmetically

I can't think of anything on it that doesn't work, besides the rear suspension.

New rear calipers, discs and cables fitted 2 years ago, probably done 500 miles since!

Willing to post parts or you can collect in person (Teesside, North East)

If you are interested in anything let me know and I will grab a photo for you.

Hi there cyrix
Sorry to hear it has come to an end.
I would be interested in the front arch liners if they come off in one piece. And also the window motors if they are serviceable. Also rear lights . Thank you

Hello,
Sorry it's not repairable ... :/
Do you have a good right inner CV joint? (possibly left too) I could be interested soon depending on price (including postage to France)

Interested in the rear brake set you described...pictures & prices?
Also what's the gear shifter and cables like?
And finally the front headlights and rear light clusters?

Hi Cyrix,
I'd be interested in the front bumper if it's the original ABS type (Not Fibreglass), undamaged and straight.
Edit: Also possibly the door glass - if they're green tint and not chipped by the hood frame.
Cheers,
Ron

Hi I'd be interested in the seats and the matching leather trim panel inserts on the doors - assuming that they are all in good condition
Can you please PM me with a price and any photos if you have them, thanks

OK thanks, I am not in a hurry. I am not even sure I need them anyway (hopefully it may be just the intermediate bearing). Please let me know when you have more infos! :-)

There are 2 M100's being broken up for spares in Scotland but don't hold your breath on the owner (Jeemy) getting back to you

Has anyone heard anything more from Chris (CyrixV8) ?

I have exchanged pm's with him and chased up requests but nothing heard. I know pm's have been read as they are no longer
in Outbox.

Good to hear, but I sent address details for postage and an agreed price, not paid anything though.
