where does this go?

Postby dapinky » Sat 04.04.2015, 14:03

I'm not sure if this is one of the many wires/plugs which go nowhere (in the engine bay) - and the blanking cap has got lost over the winter, or if it should connect to something.....

Basically, it's on the bit of the loom which comes up through the left-hand inner wing (clamshell) along with the wires for the reversing light switch....

It can't go far as there is only about 20cm of length - it has 2 wires, both red (well, dark pinkish!) and the female spade connectors are in a "T" shape.

Not in a rush, but if anyone either knows, or can be bothered to have a look at theirs, I'd appreciate it.

(For info, RHD UK SE without AC)

Did you do a search first before starting this thread? :poke:

Pretty sure they're Aircon related Dave.

Wrong side of the engine bay for A/C (just guessing, mind)?

Did you previously have an alarm siren or similar around there Dave?

Well, you could get of yer arse and go and have a look at yours!

(I was thinking aircon, but the connector looks too clean to have been hanging around for 25 years - which is why I wondered if the black cap thingy like on the other one had just come off???)

Martin,

It's not for the alarm - that is all accounted for.

Dave,
They go to the trianary switch, on top of the receiver drier. All part of the a/c.

Simon,

thank you :D

(I'll just leave them lying around somewhere then - maybe even cover the open one with a bit of heat shrink to keep them tidy :? )
