Electric Coolant Pump 'piping'

Electric Coolant Pump 'piping'

Postby david.bradley » Sun 24.01.2016, 09:29

I've had the car 15+ years and only realised in the past year that the electric coolant pump had been bypassed, but the pump left in place.
I've got a replacement as a precaution, and intend to fit. I guess the old one was bypassed as it didn't work
What I dont know is which pipes fit where on the pump itself.
The Wikilec talks about replacement options, but for obvious reasons assumes you took the pipes off in the first place.
Thanks

Thank you
I often have a problem with photos, and get this message.

'You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post'.

Would anyone please know what I have to do to resolve ?

Thanks

This had occurred to me too!! But decided he may not have revisited BCN's post when placing his own and so not seen the pictures. If not then it is indeed far more complicated and I have no solution.

But David if you look at the workshop manual in the cooling section you will find the same pictures and more
They are available from the link at the bottom of BCN's post.

Sorry John, when I posted this it wasn't meant to read so curt, no offence intended!
