Saturday curry

Postby Rambo » Wed 09.05.2018, 18:54

OK, not long to go to CC now. Who is up for a curry on the Sat. evening after the main event ?

Last year we had a good curry and a few beers at The Spice Merchant on the outskirts of Malmesbury. Apart from being overcharged (par for the course  ) the food and service was good. There were no problems with car parking etc.. and it was only a 20 minute stroll from the Burton Hill campsite, via some interesting pubs en-route

I can book up nearer the time when we have numbers ......

Mark,

not wishing to denegrate your efforts in arranging this, but is it possible (or even desirable), to decide if we are looking at an 'early' meal where people can go straight from the main event, or a 'later' meal to allow for a wash & brush-up.

It makes no difference to those of us camping/staying/living locally, but there may be those who are travelling for the day who may like to join us if the timings suit.

(but a 1600hrs curry never goes down as well as one at 2000hrs!!!!)
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually.....

go on - click this link - you know you want to!

You mean for those who spend the day in their pj bottoms and need to change into something more civilised?
Straight from the event would suit day travellers I’d have thought.

Depends where you live Dave. In Scotland, particularly Glasgow, a curry is welcome whatever time of the day ;-)

What time do the shenanigans finish at CC ? I can book a table for approx. 12 at whatever time is appropriate and then amend things when I get there. After a few pints at the Smoking Dug naturally :drunk:
