We'll be there, but on the EALC stand. Will come over and have a cuppa and natter during the day. Looking forward to seeing you all.

i dont think there is anything planned on that yet. but theres a different thread for the organisation of the people who want to park their car on the LEC patch, and another for those who are getting LEC allocated passes.

Graham,

According to TLF, tickets will be sent out next week (but originally they said beginning of September)...

.... apparently there is a change of plan on the admin side of things - although it was stated that a 'ticket' would be for a Lotus & (up to) 2 passengers, it now appears that it will be divided up..... so everyone who ordered a ticket, will now get 2 individual (person) tickets, and a 'car pass'...

...as a 'club' we will still be getting 20 'car passes' and 40 'tickets' (so i assume that the other clubs will be getting the same).

I sent Bibs a message this morning for clarification, but as yet had no reply (but what I stated above is what it now says on the Lotus70.com website.

Dave

Thanks for the reassurance - didn't want to leave it until the last minute to ask the question only to find the tickets were despatched weeks ago!

for a week then I shall not be able to confirm receipt of tickets until our return on Saturday 15th.

On return from my week in Cornwall, unfortunately there were NO tickets in the post. I have emailed Bibs and asked the obvious question.

However, after searching through the various posts on TLF found this under the Dunston Hall BBQ post!:

That's now changed, it's a ticket per person and a car sticker to get the car in. Tickets will be posted out from Monday next week and everyone who ordered via lotus70.com will get a sticker and 2 tickets.

So it now appears that tickets plus a car sticker are being posted next week.

I will keep you informed once I hear more.

Graham,

Although i'm glad to have given you reassurance, I hope it is well founded..... because Trevor has just got home from Cornwall and found no envelope full of tickets. He is also getting concerned as there are lots of people waiting on them (according to TLF posts, nearly all of the recent ones have been "when will I get my ticket?")....

... we are waiting patiently, with heads firmly in the sand. Panic will only be permitted once I get to Bibs' house and find a 'sold' board outside and no trace of him

Edit:- typing this whilst Trevor was posting (which he was doing as I was replying to his PM)...... this is confusing me :banghead:

Ah, so that's why I didn't see the update - it was buried under something else that I wouldn't have looked at!!

Bibs must have been a Civil Servant at some point - burying "bad news" on a "bigger news story" day!!

Is there anyone local to Bibs to check out that" SOLD" sign??…….

I'm looking forward to the update on this, I mentioned to a fried the 1 car 2 tickets expectations. Nothing was planned yet but the idea of taking a passenger with me was floating.
Would be nice to know that for sure so my friend doesn't miss the event when there would be a spare ticket.

I’m not going to worry until I’m at the gates of Hethel without a ticket!
It just seems tickets are a little later being sent out than anticipated (and as someone who is perpetually late I really can’t complain) probably because there is a slight change of plan ticket-wise.
And I don’t see what all the fuss (on TLF) is about there! Previously one pass was going to admit ONE CAR AND TWO PEOPLE, now we will be receiving one car pass and two tickets that will admit ONE CAR AND TWO PEOPLE. Unless I’m being thick?! 8)

Kathryn,

If you're being thick, then so am I (and everyone else who has actually bothered to read what is happening).

There is no material difference, the tickets will arrive in due course, the sun will shine and we'll all have a spiffing weekend.

Less than 2 weeks to go & the Lotus70 web site still has no details.
Bibs said a few weeks ago on TLF that he went to a meeting & is excited by what is planned, although is not allowed to say anything.

It would be nice to know what will be going on.

I've had an email from Bibs today confirming that tickets are being sent out today.

Also in that email is a request for a 'mint' M100 to feature on the Lotus Cars display. The question asked was about originality.
The answer came back: 'original as possible'. We need from those of us attending a volunteer whose car fits the criteria to represent
the M100 family on this particular display.

Putting this out to all of you to see if anyone wants to put their car forward. Need to know in next 24 hours.
If you could p.m. me if you are interested.

Agreed - Trevor should volunteer his car. If you do get stuck for one, I would offer ours

Mine ain’t original and isn’t “mint” (it’s 27 years old and one wheel is square - see previous bitching about camper vans and potholes on Skye), so I’m out. Trevor’s sounds like a likely candidate to me.
