I've just found out (by phoning them) that breakfast at mangreen country hotel isn't usually served until 0800 at the weekend.....

.... The guy said that they may be able to do it a bit earlier but I'll need to speak to staff on arrival.

(I'll need to leave the hotel at 0750 latest to be on time for this convoy, so if I'm not there I'll see you at the factory :D )

Realistically, if I can get cereals, toast and a cuppa, i'll be happy - otherwise I'll be grouchy, grumpy and hungry (staus = normal). Otherwise, no problems.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Ah, but whatever time they serve breakfast, I'll still have time for that.

I've just parked up in the lay by outside Dunstan for the night. I'm sure someone will be good enough to knock me up in the morning on their way in. :-D

Well I was 3rd in the convoy ... but I don’t remember Pinky in front of me.
Who was behind Steve A? I hope they got over the petrol inhalation.

Well the convoy was a bit of a disaster and obviously needed Neil's meticulous planning, iron fist and acerbic tongue. Having been volunteered to be leader of the pack by Dave² at 5 minutes to go, I managed to get Justin's mongrel out of the way and everyone (not just LEC or Elan) followed. We went in via the back roads and met a long queue in the other direction and a no right turn sign at Potash Lane. We started to talk to the marshals about how far down the road we would have to go to turn around then mentioned in passing that we had a boot full of doughnuts and all of a sudden we were waved through.
