As promised some pics. meet HILDA (H134 LDA).

The bad news is that it is Cat D therefore not top dollar, but the good news is I can drive it whenever and wherever without worrying about my "asset"

My previous M100 was Calypso Red so I wanted something different this time.Original back lights were damaged but I managed through a contact to obtain the last new set of KIA rear lights in Korea. I then embarked on a ACBC commemorative livery with black and gold on the red. Nose badge and wheel badges changed to gold on black lozenge shape (unpopular with some, I like them). Front number plate moved down to be less prominent on a black flash between side grills. Rear black above lights and lower spoiler to reduce "does my behind look big in this". Borrowed from Esprit "ELAN TURBO" decals, why hide your light under a (SE) bush. Gold and chrome original wheels and large lotus badge to sides of front bumper, gold cat on rollerskates in rear hood window, red carpets, SS exhaust. Future improvements planned, uprated original brakes and Everest chip.

Anyway love it or hate it, there it is--------- MARMITE !!!

Indeed very Marmite.
I rather stick to my barely painted yellow Elan.

PS Moderators - perhaps we need a new "love it or hate it?" topic rather than cluttering up this Hethel thread

Mark,

If you're gonna ask for things like that, maybe you should start a list to see if it gets popular support?

Why would you NOT be set to get ALL new posting notices? You can get to know others easier and get to share in the joys and pains of everyone's situation stories.

It is just an email that takes up little space. Can you not create a rule that moves each notice to a "special" folder so it doesn't contaminate all of the Youtube and Facebook notices...?

basic answer, yes. It'll all be here as a first point of contact. If other topics are created, then they'll be linked from here anyway, so you'll get what info you need. :D

I had that setup at one point in time.

it turned out i didnt have enough free time to keep up with the activity of the forum, not to mention i have no reason to chip in 90% of the topics going on. (incase you havent noticed, as an introvert software developer, i dont do well on "banter", in fact, its very unusual for me to seek any kind of social interation, but this community is particularly welcoming which makes me feel confortable to go out and join in the monthly meetups and the ocasional yearly big event)

I try to keep an eye out for the electrical, and door/bodywork forums since i feel my experiences may be of help... but usually between pinky, saltire phill (LFM) and Geoff theres nothing i can add that hasnt already been mentioned before i even look at the post :)

but thats enough of an essay about miself.

Graham,

I suspect that there will be a few 'solo drivers' attending, and a pax ride in is quite probably a feasable option...... I'm on my own, so will have a spare seat as long as Clemo is mobile by then - will know nearer the time.

Is anyone live streaming the event? I ask because of those of us in other countries that can't make it but would like to see what is going on.

We plan on having something at the new garage and could share the event on the bid screen hanging in the garage.

Bibs has also stated on TLF, in response to a question, that tickets will be posted next week. As we are going on a break to Cornwall tomorrow
for a week then I shall not be able to confirm receipt of tickets until our return on Saturday 15th.
