For those of you interested in the posh camping at Burton Hill, Malmesbury (as opposed to the not so posh camping at CC circuit

) there is a big field with great views of the town, clean showers and bogs etc.... If there was enough interest I'm sure we could get a corner, or the whole overspill field reserved for us. I spoke to the person that ran the site last year and already primed her for an influx of LEC'rs and they don't mind large, well behaved "mature" groups of people. There are electrical hook ups too for those coming in their Winnebago's, Hymer's, caravans etc.... It gets an 8/10 rating and well deserved at that

Arrive Friday, leave Monday (unless it's peeing down like last year, then I'll pack up Sunday).

I now have a cunning plan.....
..... the bloke doing my groundworks is the owner of a car transporter trailer and has offered me to borrow it....
.... so i can now drive the VW and tow the Elan, set up camp with the van/awning and drive around in the elan. It also means that I can 'safely' participate in the track day without the worry of how will i get home if the car blows up

If you could just blow it up early in the weekend, you could do a mechanical master class on repairing it

Or if the VW blows up on the way you can still go in the Elan.

Alan,
I think with the reliability since my ownership, yours is the most likely scenario.

Beer & Sausages
Post this evening on the Malmesbury Facebook page ”Looking for acoustic acts for Beer & Sausage on Sunday 26th May at The Smoking Dog”
So it looks as though it’s on, but not necessarily on the Friday. Will report further when I get more news.

Didn’t he have the matching tie as well? And wasn’t it a fake, made in Italy? You know, an Eye-tie Thai tie?
I’ll get my coat
