Sunday morning breakfast club LIST

Postby clemo » Fri 08.03.2019, 23:13

To complete our wonderful Elan weekend what could be nicer that saying goodbye over a cuppa tea / coffee and a bacon ( veggie version if required ) sandwich on Sunday morning.

Well as luck would have it we have a wonderful opportunity for such a thing . With help once again from our in house organiser Saltire / Jonathan. He has organised :

- table for as many people as we want (within reason) in a private room
- orange juice, unlimited tea/coffee/toast, full English breakfast (veggie options available)
- all food cooked to order
- flat cost of £10 per head (normally £12.95)
- secure, off-Street Elan parking, plus photo opportunities in front of a listed Cotswold stone building
All this and charming intelligent company as well. What more could you want?

Final numbers will need to go to the hotel a week beforehand, so still plenty of time to join in.

This is at hotel where our Special Guest's are staying .They have offered to put on a goodbye breakfast before we go our separate ways . Parking is available out front . Mini convoys home from there ?

Numbers being collected to make sure we have reserved seating.
As per always ..

LIST .

On a point of order, Mr Rambo . . . It was Saturday Waitrose last year - and it will be again this year too!

Sunday is a proper, grown-up Full English (light and vegetarian options also available)

The report sounds very contradictory.....

"Planning permission for an Aldi superstore on the site of Malmesbury Garden Centre on Crudwell Road was approved yesterday by 11 votes to 0 by Wiltshire Council’s Northern Area Planning Committee"

"An application for a Lidl superstore off the A429 bypass near Waitrose was looked at first during the meeting but was refused by 11 votes to 0"

"Nigel Roberts, owner of the land Lidl wanted to build on, said he was approached by both supermarkets and chose Lidl as he felt there would have worked best with the town "

So is it Aldi or Lidl :smt017

It’s Aldi - mainly because the Lidl site (opposite Waitrose on the by-pass) would have meant building on green belt land, and the Council weren’t happy about the traffic safety implications of turning the Waitrose entrance into a crossroads. Lidl is now looking at a site in Tetbury, a short distance away.

And, by the way, that’s one of Wiltshire Council’s clearer communications

I refer the honourable member for Tytherington to the comment I made some weeks ago. Always glad to welcome a fellow traveller
