Just wanted to record my thanks for all of the effort put into today by so many on LEC. I know Saltire, Clemo, Geoff and no doubt Pinky and Neil and many others put in some serious time to put together the program that attracted the largest gathering of M100s that I've ever seen (including from Donington days). But everyone there was contributing just by being there and it was great to see.

My day was made even better by being given additional track time which seems to have permanently fixed a grin on my chops, and although in the end MJK found he had a better offer, I enjoyed Barrie's company for his fast laps and had just as much fun being able to share the other sessions with fellow LECers.

I fear that the bar has been set a little too high to attempt such a meet on a regular basis, but if we can get turnouts of even half that number at least once a year it will deffo be an occasion to look forward to.

Thanks peops - a great day.

I'd second that, great day, well organised (well as good as could be expected when dealing with a bunch of Elan drivers). If the owners of M100 FAP and M243 COR want a few (free!) pictures of them on the track message me.

Yup, agreed, a great day, especially getting Mike, Barry, Warren and Phillipe to give us an insight into Lotus and the Elan development.

Well done organisers!

Well done and thankyou to all who put the event on.

I was thinking about the number of Elans present - 100 Elans in one place is possibly the largest number of Elans ever if you think that when made originally, they would have been shipped off to dealers and it is therefor likely that this is a record...

I would also like to add my 'sincere THANKS' to everyone that helped make this momentous occasion successful.
It was a privilege to represent the SE in the featured arena and to top it all having the honour of Mike Kimberley driving the car on
the parade laps. I have to say that Mike was complementary about the car but really wanted to give it a boot and was very frustrated
at having to go around the track in 3rd gear at 30mph! We couldn't understand what the reason was ahead of us.

Of course it would not have been as successful if 100 M100's hadn't turned up so WELL DONE

Thank you to those who spoke some good words about 'Merlot' and I hope that it represented LEC to everyone's satisfaction.

Let's hope that future events are as successful although I suspect that the organisers of this one have had enough of any planning responsibilities.

I look forward to meeting up with you ALL in the future.

My camera phone failed me at the vital moment and therefore I didn't get any photo's of Mike in the car. I know Geoff and Nick (nchase)
have taken some photos. I would very much appreciate you forwarding them to me via email, thank you.

What a fantastic day!
Big thanks to all the organisers, as well as our special guests who entertained and informed us with their inside knowledge.
Roll on the next one!

PS my apologies to any campers kept awake by the noisy cooling fans caused by a faulty fan switch on the motorhome. Repair in hand if I can find an extra deep 29mm socket!
