If I may be so bold and stick my oar in after all the hard work has been done…

I agree with Jonathan and suggest it would probably be best done to the kitty account, then I will settle the meal bill. I would prefer everyone to transfer payment electronically in advance.

Now, we have 3 VIP Lotus guests in the shape of Mike, Barry and Philippe. Following the days events and with them graciously agreeing to join us for our traditional curry night, I would hope that people would not object to paying for their meals. This would increase the fixed price to around £20 per head.

Lastly, I think that this night is going to be a pretty special occasion, which is unlikely to be repeated anytime soon. The many generous donations to the kitty in previous years and the LEC admin/mods & Jonathan who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to put it all together have made this event possible. Any additional contributions that you are be able to afford would obviously be greatly appreciated.

I appreciate the work done for this by Jonathan, and am happy to 'chuck in' another couple of quid for the guests dinner......

.... but to assist a computer-illiterate person who can't find the details despite a search of recent posts - would it be a good idea to put up the details of the account I can put my £20 into??

How about making it £30 so the extra £10 can go into the kitty, i think the extra £10 is cheap for all the abuse and piss taking we get here.

I too appreciate all the work done to ensure that the weekend is successful, you can feel a but coming on...…

But, is there other things included in that £18? That seems a lot for one course.

Also, I have made a contribution to the kitty to help in various extra payments, so does this not cover such eventualities as this additional cost.

Ah, that's the one.

Payment sent for curry and 3 mugs (I'll no doubt still owe for some other tat which I've joined a list for, but will square up on the day - at least my dinner is now paid for, along with my breakfast the next day - so I won't starve).

Apologies if I didn’t make it clear in my last post. The £18 covers two courses - starter and main. Choice of two starters: one meat, one vegetarian. Plus poppadoms and sundries. The main courses on the menu range between £9 and £11 at normal prices, excluding starters and sundries.

I think we’d have had more negotiating room if we were a smaller party, or it wasn’t a Saturday night, on a bank holiday weekend, at the start of half term. However, they know (and I know) that there are only two restaurants within a five mile radius that could accommodate a party of this size - and the other one’s a two Michelin star with prices to match.

I’ll make it up to you next year - there’s a great kebab shop at the top of the town. All you can eat for £6

A 'bit chaotic' you cheeky bugger? This is completely chaotic I'll have you know. Just send us loads of money and chill.

Personally, I think it's a bargain given the dinner guests. It would cost you £100 each to get Dick and Dom along. :?

Thank you Jonathan for all the donkey work you have put in at the request of myself and Geoff on behalf of LEC.

I remember at lotus 70th we paid £25 for a burger .. and that was shite . BUT the £25 was more toward being part of the event and overheads .

Here it is £20 and decent food (but please feel free to add whatever you like ) On offer is :-

MENU

Choice of two starters: one meat, one vegetarian.

Plus poppadoms and sundries

MAIN COURSE .

One lamb or

One chicken or

one vegetarian curry

plus rice

Curry to be mild to medium spiciness at your request

Kitty details £20 Payment in Advance would be gratefully received and most helpful. Please add name as reference + curry.

Once again , thank you all for your support in making this the biggest gathering we have had in a long while . A gathering is nothing without the people . This whole weekender is geared up to make it a memorable one . I really hope it is .

Look forward to seeing you all ...

Did i mention the Lotus LEC quiz . Prize for the winner .

If you pay for the meal in advance via the Kitty, would it be a good idea
to have a paid conformation list just to help the organisers.
