Took Collapso H120 out last Tuesday to enjoy the sunshine, hood down going great when gearchange went weird, 3rd & 4th closer to me and 5th / Reverse couldn't be found. Still searching for spare cables I've got somewhere.. before I investigate - when it stops raining!
L100 went on SORN March 2020 with cambelt 6yrs old and that's still on the Job's To Do List... so I'll probably be at Combe in the Evora... again!

I think my battery has died I've not even had it a year

Should still be under guarantee then .. lucky you, it's when they die just after the guarantee has ended that's the bugger.

Very strange though, I've tried 2 chargers, as soon as I reconnect it barely unlocks the car, just won't hold a charge, I had my last battery for over ten years

No this is just after I've charged it, I put a meter on it and watch it lose power, let alone turning the fuel pump
It's not quite a year old but I'm just wondering about the logistics of returning it and getting a new one

I had a faulty YBX1075 four years ago, and they collected it, IIRC. Yuasa were out of stock for a replacement, so I got a Bosch instead, which has been fine.

If you've got the receipt it shouldn't be a problem. I spent a long time rebuilding my Subaru's engine and when back in the car the starter would not crank it fast. I suspected the already old battery had stood around too long on a Battery Conditioner.
Bought a new battery from Euro Car Parts on one of their Flash Sales but starter would crank even slower.... so bought another starter - No Solution.
Had the Euro Car Parts LION "Latest Calcium - Calcium Technology" Battery tested by a guy at my local Tyre & Battery Co, who's a boozing buddy, and the volts were good but the internal resistance was high so it couldn't deliver high number of amps required for starting. "These are the biggest box of sh1t I've seen. You wouldn't believe the under warranty exchanges we do on the ones we sell." he said.
Phoned Euro Car Parts and they delivered a replacement and collected the duff one, without a quibble. Engine now spins fast on either starter motors. Anybody need a Subaru Starter Motor?

They what me to box it up and send it (at my expense, not easy and awkward to say the least), no idea how long that will take and it's getting close to Castle Combe
looks like I need an alternate

I did consider Halfords, but it's hard to justify buying from them when the exact battery I got Tanya was nearly double the price

So Tanya have said that if I send the battery back they'll take a look at it, and if it's faulty they will send me a replacement.
The problem I have with that is, there is no fixed time for when this will happen so, I ordered another battery from them at 8pm and it was in my car and running by 10:30 the next morning (from north Wales ).
Getting the car up and running was my first priority given that Castle Combe is just around the corner.
The other thing was getting the old battery back to them, the packaging that came with the new battery came in very handy.
then it's Parcels2go pick your courier and off it goes minus a tenner.
I've just got to hope on Tanya's honesty on whether the battery I sent back was duff, bearing in mind I nursed the previous battery for well over 10 years.

Given the use that our cars get generally, as long as they are looked after they should last much longer than "normal".

I've got a halfords professional tool set and when I had a problem they said I needed the receipt, which I thought was pretty poor given that it's got their name stamped on it

That’s interesting info, thanks Alan, I Didn’t realise that. Just bought a large sockets set on Friday from somewhere else. I previously belonged to a Subaru owners club who give me a Halfords discount card. Pretty cool as there is no date on it and just instructions on the back for the cashier, been quite fun watching them calculate 15% off

So just an update:

The battery was tested and I was promptly refunded .
It was a bit of a faff to return a battery, but if you want a competitively priced battery on your door step the next day, then you'd struggle to find a better option than Tanya.
