It was written that the site had moved.
I don't know why http://www.lotuselancentral.com still linked to the old version. Probably someone has forgotten to update the URL.
Anyway, the new version is available at http://wikilec.com (http://www.wikilec.com doesn't work, the DNS should probably be corrected, too)

It sure would be nice if someone with the right privileges would update the link on the forum page. Had I not found this thread, I should have been completely nonplussed! :)

It would appear that WikiLEC is back (thankfully!)

Can someone fix the link on our homepage here to point to the correct place?

The previously available WIKI at http://wikilec.9600.org/ is no longer available.

Geoff found and restored a much earlier version at the current address/link at the top of the page.

Unless some of us have made copies of the now missing articles and HOW-TO guides, then someone will have to take the challenge and write a new article or guide.

The WAY-BACK Machine web site has snapshots of the main pages from the missing WIKI but they don't have any of the links or pictures that were part of the articles.

I've just realised, I may have grabbed a copy of the wikilec.9600.org page and links a year or 2 ago by using a programme called teleport pro. I was going through a period where I couldn't access a lot of websites and had intermittent internet connection.
I've just noticed that the front page looks different to the restored version, and it seems to contain the how to guides that BCN mentioned.

I have no idea if this information can be restored to the Wiki. as I have no idea of how to create a proper webpage. Or if it of any actual use.

I hope that I'm not going to be in trouble for grabbing it in the first place, But I feel that the least I can do is return it. Maybe some of the IT experts can dig through the files and restore any of the missing info to the Wiki, there seems to be a few thousand files, so it may take a while.

I've zipped the files and have uploaded them to Dropbox Here:

If the Teleport programme is not still available for download, I think that I may still have the installation files somewhere.

Hope that it of some use to someone that can make sense of the info.

Wayne,

I don't have access to the 'technical' side of LEC, but I do have some knowledge of web spider/mirror programs.

I have downloaded your copy of the Wiki site onto my computer, and it seems to be the one we are missing (but don't know if any/all of the articles are totally up to date)..... It certainly seems to be the best starting point that we have to get it all restored.

I haven't used TPP before, as I always use HT Track.... HT Track won't open the .tpp files, so I have downloaded TPP - which comes 'free' for 50 days - to look at it.

Everything works fine as a 'search' tool, but I can't find a way to edit any content (if you try to log in, it says the files aint there).....

..... it will need someone with the right levels of access to upload it onto a server, and either keep it there as purely a search tool, or integrate it back to a fully functioning, editable, wiki site.

Good effort though for having the foresight to grab a copy, and now make it availlable 8)

Any chance to get write access to WikiLec in its current state, please?
Is WikeLECrequest@lotuselancentral.com still the right address to apply for access, as I have not received an answer?
Cheers,
Matthias
