I've just had my interior re-done by Bromsgrove Auto-trimmers Poppy Red & Slate Grey (the colours in the pics don't really do justice), & maybe are not to every ones taste but I recommend BAT highly for thier workmanship, quality and (now this shouldn't be dismissed) their pleasantness!!!
The only downside is that they don't retrim Steering wheels, does any one know a place that does (I have the Wheel & the leather - it's just the expertise I'm lacking.

Well I like it straight away & I know from experience that a radically different interior colour scheme does grow on you (mine is purple).
I've seen Martin Bailey's red interior 1st hand & that looks to be very well done too (That was a Bromsgrove job).
Steering wheel? Don't know. Neil's Auto Interiors (Hockley nr Southend) did my seats. I am not sure if they would do steering wheels but worth giving them a try. (they may not seeing as Bromsgrove didn't).
With the amount of Elans now scrapped, there must be some old steering wheels with worn-out leather floating about???

Rip, thanks for the comments, I have tracked down a trimmer who will do my steering wheel locally, the issue now is whether to wait out the Elise wheel on eBay or just move on with my oem one! The Elise wheel is more appealing.

Very good - i bet that new leather smells brilliant
Only thing I don't like is the gear stick cover - looks like someone has left a pair of red silk knickers in your Elan

What would be wrong with that?

Absolutely nothing wrong with that Ripster. But not in your car - they'd clash with the fellatio purple seats

I had them recover the A pillars in the grey and the top cover done in the 'Poppy Red' that was left over from the seat coverings.
Recently, had an Elise steering wheel done to match and am currently removing the vinyl from an old door card with a view to recovering it in the grey but having problems with identifying a decent vinyl solvent!
The colours are much brighter in reality than these pics show.

That's a leading question, suffice to say you won't get a lot of change from 4 digits, but that includes seat heaters!
The principle I'm adopting is based on the premis that my ownership is long term so rather than drip the money out & ending with a perfect car just before I flog it, the more I do earlier on then the longer I get to enjoy it, which is a better return on the 'investment' and hopefully, when I finally hang up my keys, the car will still be in good nick for someone else to love. Well that's the theory anyway!

I would doubt that! Provided by BAT, their supplier is Martrim who can supply direct.
I lived in Cyprus for many years (granted before they joined the EU and prices jumped!) and know that the cost of leatherwork could be got quite cheaply, it may be worth you testing out the local market - if you provide the leather, perhaps that would be the most cost effective route
