"can you do a pacific blue Elan with esprit v8 front bumper and sills?" I can and probably will as soon as I have finished the other product upgrades.
I suggested that if there wasn't much work going on in the studio then the 3D Scanners could scan my Elan.
Someone had a casual word and now everyone has moved on from the run of brand new production line cars to my M100! It's almost completely 3D Scanned inside and out! And there are a load of us freelancers contracted to rebuild scan data into nice clean models with a few days spare to process the Elan!
It's amazing how a simple suggestion can turn into a massive and fantastic thing when there are 8 people with nothing better to do!

Phil,
Forgive me for being critical, but aren't the grilles under the bumper a bit big and WTF is that big red thing in the reflection of the centre grille?
Geoff

What part of "Still a way to go but i thought I'd post the first reasonable render of my Lotus Elan" do you not understand Mr Stiff?
"Forgive me for being critical, but aren't the grilles under the bumper a bit big..." Nope, they are fine. If you actually fitted the upgrades you bought to your car, you would probably be more familiar with the shape!
To forgive you for being critical is to forgive you for being you and for that I forgive you. That was somebody elses fault.

Blue is the reflection of the sky, don't tell me: you used matt paint!
I'll do a decent render for you when it's finished Monty.

I'm still working on this model, almost completely finished the model work and starting to add the materials the the various parts of the car. I'll do the exterior first, then the inside.
Tyres and rear lights are the next materials on the list.
I will build an environment or two once the model and materials are complete.

Hey Surfers, you should give up dobbing fibreglass parts for Elans and do 3D modeling for a living instead

- that looks fantastique! Super

Not bad effort at all....
I can't lie.... it's brilliant....
and the best bit I've seen the program in the flesh....
you can view the car at any angle... (yep... hood up or down....the interior must of taken ages)
Well done that's alot of effort you've put in there....
Now don't sit back on your laurals Phil... get the other half of the car done...
TTFN
If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The N/A-Team.

There is a Fed version!

The trouble with the Fed version is; it is so different! Other wise I could just flip the renders in Photoshop.
I'll definately do an S2!
