Pictures of our new car

Postby SWLC » Sun 11.10.2009, 12:35

Hi all,

Just thought we would upload some pictures of our new car and what we did to it yesterday with cleaning it and repainting the old leather seats. Really happy how the carpets and the leather came out! Also the paintwork came out really good after compounding it several times!!!!

Just got a 'C' service with cambelt, waxoly and MOT next week and then fit the new mats and a new rubber front spoiler. Just cant wait to get it all done.

I will add some more pictures when the new parts are added.

Hi mike,

yeah the carpets did come up really well. I used a couple of things on the carpets. One was a new air gun machine which also sprays a small amount of liquid and blasts into the carpet and removes dirt and any grit from them. After I had gone over the hole carpet I then wet waxed them with a autosmart detergent and then hoovered them.

Takes a bit of time but dose the trick.

Good skills,

Which products did you use on the seats?

How did the drivers seat come up?

Yeah both seats came up like new and we had to only replace 3 metal clips underneath! I still have some old connally leather paint as I used to buy in bulk so have been using up our old stock for the minute. I always rough the leather up a bit with sand paper first as this helps the paint to soak into the leather.

speak soon
