Still a way to go but i thought I'd post the first reasonable render of my Lotus Elan.
It's in the spirit of my CG Stevens Esprit model renderd some years ago, so it's the SE Elan.

Phil,
just pulling your leg mate.....the detail looks fantastic.

When the model is complete, is it an easy enough task to change the colours?

It would make a great animated screensaver.....

Yep, easy to change the colours, it's white at the moment so it's easy to see the flaws whilst making it.

looks fantastic and not trying to be critical, only helpful: front brake discs look a bit big to me, and vertical height of front indicator recess seems a bit small -- but maybe you measured them and they are perfectly proportional and I am wrong . .

That's pretty good Surfers; I imagine it took only 10% of your time to model 90% of the car, but the final 10% detail will make up 90% of the overall time? Once you have the model complete this will be ideal for playing with styling ideas 8)

Spot on! I'm modelling 15 car interiors at work so I'm not entirely inspired to do it at home, that said; I will be really quick when I do get to it with all this practice!

I want to play with the back end re shape and the coupe' is still on the cards. :-D :-D
