If this works then you've just pulled off a very useful tool :D

And if members don't know how to access the Memberlist and sort if alphabetically I'm going to be inundated with similar requests  ;-)

Chronological would be better, but may screw up when, for example, spammers are deleted. Your best bet is to use the database key which should be a unique number - the IT guys should be able to provide it.

I've got a feeling it was raised when membership cards were discussed.

I always thought my LEC Membership Number was my date of birth in YYDDMM format - still that's what I told someone who wanted a number ... ;)

I have just sent off the paper work and it looks like thye only place to put the membership number is on the agreed valuation form, (which Im not sure if I will do or not)

So I may have caused all this for nothing

No problem. There may be others who wish to, so it's best to get it sorted out.

I have just had a letter from Adrain Flux and they do require my membership number.

I gave it over the phone and no problems

FJ have insured me since I've owned the car. But the policy is with whoever's cheapest/best at the time of renewal.

Surely FJ only offer Club Discount on classic car policies?

I've never set anything up with FJ, so if you can pull some discount off, it'll be great news...

I've got a discount from Adrian Flux for LEC membership - I'm just going to use the date of joining list and count the members makes me 2537, would be useful to know if I have done right. Might join Group Lotus until I get a difinative answer - anything for a free keyring

I don't want to confuse things but how about date of joining and date of birth all in 2 number format eg. 230608090468 - that way - any changes to the list and numbers of members will be irrelevant - I just think a simple protocol which we can all use is all that is required - or shall I "fetch me coat"
