Saw the non-gay Gary northbound on Woodbridge Road Ipswich solo in his collapso this avo. I was in work car but he still noticed me and we exchanged the delayed wave.

Tuesday is Elan day.... 3 yesterday!

Ist one was a boy racer in a medina green (M1-- SP), flashed you out onto the M25 junction 8, 9.30am. Straight into the outside lane inbetween two cars  I'm sure if the Hethel engineers hadn't cocked up by one inch with the measurements you'd have hit one of em
You are an lec member aint ya ;-)

2nd was a lass in that purple colour that I can never remember the name of, on the M4 eastbound 4.50pm.

3rd was a claypso with roof down near raf Lyneham at 6pm. Driver wearing camo gear. You must know him Nige?
4+ hours stuck in a damp bucket seat with a mad Irishman at the wheel - Deep joy!!!!

Not been at Lyneham for 2 years now and am pretty sure there were no other Elans there when I was so no idea who he might be.

I'm afraid I read it as:

On 15th July spotted 2 whilst out in my NM Elan. We were driving back from a very wet long weekend camping near Matlock.

1. Blue approaching the country show in Kimbolton (I think it was). Exchanged flashes and got a really big wave from the Blue who unlike us had the top down (mind, they probably didn't have pillows and sleeping bags in the hood-space ;-) )

2. Red at Burwash manor shopping-thingy. Exchanged waves.

So, having driven about 450 miles we saw our only 2 Elans within a (relatively) few miles of each other.

Once again on a "road-trip" we barely put the top down. 2 years ago during 1000 miles to Cork and back it was never down, this year we were topless on Saturday on the run from Hathersage back into Matlock. Still, the car performed flawlessly (despite having a flat battery only the week before) and only leaked a bit, despite the weather being pretty poor.
