I've just sent you my details. How manydo you have on your register?

Just over 800 on the register out of 1,865 made. Although a large number are cars Spotted are entered into the register without the VIN, which can give false info compared to cars submitted to me/my predecessors: as Reg numbers change a lot due to personalised number plates. I could have the same car several times with different plates and not know, but with the VIN it's unique, so this makes the VIN quite valuable.

The big question is; How many are still on in one piece?

Seamus,

It basically says that it is a UK spec RHD Turbo, made in 1990 (544th car off the production line - numbering started at 6000, but IIRC there are a few numbers not used :? )

I didn't want to mention the 'Z' and the '1' being written as '2' and 'I', working on the principle that if i can still de-cypher it, it ain't a problem!

When I bought my car I had to send the MOT certificate back to the originating garage pointing out they had got the VIN number wrong by about 3 letters/numbers. I know its not the easiest to read over the chassis but come on! Luckily they sent me a new certificate without bother.

Anyway, my car is H231NRX, 1991 SE, do you have the details on the register? The car is currently SORN undergoing CAM belt, hoses, etc. etc. so hopefully I will have it back on the road in March!
