I wouldn't mind fitting some to the front of mine, being black I would think it would be barely noticeable.............apart from by you lot.

They sit behind the tyre so the only noticable thing is the side of the car stays cllean.

They were an optional extra on the S2 so have a Lotus Part No and I bought mine early this year from SJS. Think probably March as in Jan I did a 460 mile trip to Hull and posted a photo of my car at the pumps with lower half of door thick with muck - can't remember thread but was in response to Rusty Wjshbone saying his was dirty.

The Lotus ones from SJS were expensive nd the Lotus fitting kit didn't work on my SE - had to buy longer Rawlnuts; but I did get a sheet of A3 and drew the pattern in case one ever dropped off...

I'm picking her up tomorrow. Can't wait to see her! Apparently the paint shop have done a really good job. :D :-D :D

Now I just need to source some of these mudflaps. I've found a part number on another thread but think they may now be obsolete. I'd like the Lotus ones, they look much more discreet than some of the alternatives.

Me too, Kathryn. If you find a part number and/or a source, please post the details.

I believe the mudflap part numbers are - front A100B2481, rear A100B2482.

Looks fantastic, Kathryn. And thanks too for the part numbers - not showing up on SJs website but I'm sure Steve could point to them if necessary.

I'm really pleased with the results. I can't help thinking the colour is slightly different, but looking at the original paint on the rear it does actually look the same! It has been blended in well. :-D
I've taken some more photos.

I'm also really pleased with the brighter headlight bulbs he's put in, and also adjusted the beam one side. Driving home through Savernake Forest I went to dip, then realised they already were on dip! :D

I don't know Clemo, another Sportomotive customer. I'm afraid I didn't really look at it, I was only interested in mine! I didn't even notice the aftermarket wheels until I looked at my photo.

Very tidy indeed . Though not the way we would really want to go about it , the end result must be quite pleasing of you .

Well looking at the 2nd from last picture i think they are roses or tulips !!!.

I have also noted the attention to detail that car colour coded lavender is in the foreground .

Roses don't grow from bulbs - so it must be tulips.......

It's looking good Kathryn...

I'm back home now so can post photos of mudflaps as you requested ..

This is what made me decide to try mudflaps ....
20170105small.jpg

In March I bought the 'Lotus S2 optional extra' version from SJSportscars.
Listed as "FRONT MUDFLAP KIT A100B2481F SET 1 £29.00" but bottom line after P&P and VAT was £44.82
Here they are when fitted
flaps2.jpg

flaps3.jpg

Searching on "A100B2481F" now it seems I may have bought the last pair available. Searches confirm the number but none available anywhere..

So if you can't find Lotus ones here is the pattern I made of my 'A100B2481F' - it may help in finding something to do the job ...

Anybody speak Italian and could confirm this is the part in question? And whether the supplier is kosher?

I can't speak italian, but there are a few odd things about the site:-

- the picture accompanying the mudflap has nothing to do with mudflaps!
- they are offering a partial engine assembly for 0.01 euros!!

Thanks Phil. I contacted SJS, they had some NOS that sold out instantly. Who'd have though mudflaps would be so in demand?!
It looks like Jonathan could be onto something though. The part numbers there, but without understanding Italian or a photo of the item, who knows?

As for the bulbs, I don't think they'd be tulips at this time of year! I had some Osram Nightbreakers I was going to try but he put some others in, as far as I know an equivalent. 120% brighter apparently!
