Mmm' Elan 'S' not heard of that model before, not sure why it has a catalytic convertor either? Other than the photos the ad doesn't appear to mention that it's an NA at all.

I was sure I'd seen that silver N/A somewhere and it looks like Clemo did have a look and/or offer ?

Cor, a Norfolk Mustard N/A is my fantasy. Still not sure about the benefits of PAS though. I`ll stick to my pink one.

I drove the eBay Custard NA the other day and can confirm that it does have PAS (which I am not a fan of either).

I am soooo tempted, even though I cannot afford it.
I have nowhere to store it though, and would not want to keep such a precious item outside.

Same one Specks. Having trouble selling by the look of things.

I did e-mail the seller, suggesting they go to Donny, but got no reply.

I had a look at this the other week and the owners let me take it for a short drive.

Roof does not fit properly. It leaves a gap between itself and the roof cover, worse on near side. May just need adjusting.
Rear window is split.
Owner tells me that the leak is not very severe though.
Tyres are good.
Wheels (Standard 15" SE/NA ones) are quite badly scuffed.
There is a lump of paint missing by the front O/S door underneath the A pillar.
The car pulls to the left when driving. I guess it just needs the tracking looked at. The steering feels otherwise ok, with the usual Elan PAS wheeze.
The bones are dry & crusty. There is rust there, but I don't know if this is just surface rust or not.
Engine sounds ok. Not sure about performance as I've never driven an NA before. I did not sniff the coolant.
It also has some anti-chip film in front of the rear wheels. Unlike some, the dirt build up around the edge means you can see this stuff from quite a distance away.

I have been in touch with Clemo on this & also showed him some close-up pics of bones & window when I saw him on Saturday. He believes this to be the last NA built.

I actually quite like it, but would have nowhere to keep it and I have lots to do to EE.

If you want another LECer to check it out, it's only about 20 minutes down the road from DaveT.

I did suggest to the current owner that they have a look at this forum, but it does not look like they have done so.

black wing mirrors ...ohh yes...

I think Bobbrown has a pacific blue one or is it aqua? :?

It has black wing mirrors

Did I send you the info on my neighbours car? (mentioned above) or are you not doing this any more? :poke:

I saw a BRG some time ago and it was in really poor condition even had the red buttons on the seat belt buckles missing! A real shocker!

Must have more than 37 now?

Cheers,

Phil

I saw this one today in Haywards Heath and had a chat with the driver. He bought it from Ebay, now has done 76,000 miles. Laquer was peeling on hood cover, centre of dahboard(bit the radio goes in to) hanging loose, seats looking tired. Told the driver about LEC so he may look in.
