..... it is unfortunate that such "Lotus Courier Systems" are now deemed worthy of special mention, where such things would have been commonplace (or even expected!) back in the days when I first came to this forum.

Getting parts from Scotland to London were always possible with 'Dicos Scania Express' - even if they did travel 1500 miles to get there, via 4 other people.....

Well i am grateful of the club lotus input ...
Esprit guy is now towing my Elan back to Stafford with Elan Arron . Parts sitting in footwell from the pinkster (thanks mate ) ..

LEC black and yellow T cup now officially out of storage and back in the mug cupboard .

Let the good times roll .

Yes indeed... still remember my first use of the amazing LEC courier system. Passenger window glass shattered and somebody on the far side of the country had one the correct tint so I paid by internet banking and it came across country faster than DHL. Can't remember all who were involved but Spud got it from the far side of west London, somehow passed it onto Dave T who lived in Ipswich and I could then choose when to drive 12 miles in the dry to collect it... think the word is "camaraderie" ... a lot of people putting themselves out a bit to help a fellow owner.. just can't beat it!

Leave me alone, I think I know what I'm doing.

All is still well in the Dico household - we went up a couple of weeks ago for Jaynes 50th birthday party - he's still the same sensible, sober gentleman that we all know and love 8)

Chemo is working (yea!)
and Elan #1 is back from the paint shop AGAIN.

Only 7 years since the first post - and that was a a few years after I started cutting it up to fix it.
see viewtopic.php?f=76&t=17592&p=230919#p230919 for more details and thread.

A new project has arrived:

I now have enough parts to rebuild another one - (along with SteveM's earlier wreck).
This one was originally White but painted a bland Yellow. It will return to White in the end.

Looking fantastic, John. Keep up the good work and I hope you've reserved a set of gear cables from that nice chap in NC

Not making promises, but MAYBE AT LOG. It depends on whether the Yellow car can be assembled by then and if I have any money left in the budget.
