The Best Christmas Present Ever

Postby Saltire » Mon 28.12.2020, 12:32

Not a vintage year, 2020, but the best present for ages was under the tree on Christmas morning: a thermal boiler suit! I’m now toasty warm when working in a cold garage. Call me naive, but I never even knew such a thing existed. It’s rapidly becoming an essential part of this mechanics toolkit :D :D :D

Don’t give her ideas - my stepson already has his sofa (and a pile of other stuff) in temporary storage in the garage until his house purchase goes through.

Was it the one recommended by Henry Cole?

No need to provide a sleeping bag if the thermal boiler suit is as good as Jonathan claims… and it's only going down to -2°C tonight.

Another case of cultural exchange for me too as when I first read your description, I was imagining a literal boiler connected to your suit, like this thing

Nice to know what you got is way more convenient (and still toasty). Congrats on the present :)
