Why on earth did Roy Hodgson leave it far too late to bring Vardy on ? Wayne Looney was playing like a carthorse and should've been subbed. And why have England's most talented and inventive player (Rashford) come on with less than 4 minutes to go FFS !!

It was a lot easier to play spot-the-Welshman on the plane back from Alicante last night when the captain announced the final score.

I've always found it easy to spot someone on a plane wearing red and pished to the eyeballs Count yourself lucky you missed the abysmal performance. Hanging around at an airport does have some benefits after all

No hanging about... Due to leave no later than 7:30 but left after 8 and was stood at the right gate at quarter past 9 when the gate number was announced so sixth in the queue to board. Mind you, when I rang Sarah soon after 12 o'clock to say I'd landed, she told me she hadn't left home as she thought it was due in at 1 o'clock. You appreciate how cold it is over here when you're stood for half an hour stood on the A38 at midnight in tee shirt, shorts and sandals.

"The worst two influences for England, on the pitch, are Joe Hart and Wayne Rooney. Hart conspicuously shouting in the tunnel before the match, reminiscent of him screaming at a ball boy in a previous match, was almost certainly no use at all to the less experienced players around him.
