Removed the old front plate and all the Sikaflex that it was stuck on with.( We used Sticky Stuff remover from Halfords it took 4 or 5 applications but the Sikaflex was on thick. It did the job )Replaced old plate with a new 3/4 size with purple border and EU stars in same colour with Union Jack. From Fancy plates in Ireland. Thanks M100 TWO. What a huge difference it makes. We also patched the inside of the soft top as a precaution in the relevant places. We used fake leather from the sewing shop. We also scrubbed and polished the alloys. We used Halfords own wheel scrub. Seems to have worked well. We bought a couple of different rear screen cleaners from a motorbike shop.I think one of the products is for polishing helmets but the sales guy said he swears by it. I will give it a try in the morning and see if it puts a bigger smile on our faces. We can,t wait for the Back To Black. I seem to be a lot better at dealing with things when the bonnet is closed. It's a trial by "DAVE" (a TV Channel) to make new TV series, They normally just do repeats...

if Red Dwarf "Back to Earth" gets good vewing figures they'll make a proper series....

Finally getting my oil filter off after it ripped a layer of skin from the palm of my hand....
& knowing I now have a K&N on there with a nice, big nut on the end so it should be a lot easier next time.

Birds playing in the spring sunshine outside my window.
Men are like a fine wine.
They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the sh * t out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

I think photos of all 3 are required ;)
Ive washed the polish out of my grundies.

Came home yesterday all filthy from arguing with front discs/calipers, stripped and sank into a bath. Aaaaaaaah!
And i have just seen a beautiful 1965 Lotus Elite.

They didn't make Elite Type14s after 1963
How could i be doing anything else but smile. And it costs nowt.

Indeed. Question to really make you smile is how did the Type14 Elite achieve a coefficient of drag of 0.29 without a wind tunnel or CAD?
Better to be lucky than clever or the genius of Costin (half of Cosworth) who worked for DeHavilland at the time.
