What starts off white and wobbly, then turns red as it hits the floor?

Smiffy ignoring the doctors' advice and kango hammering the walls after a heart attack - Twat!

PS - just got home (Clemo should be home by now, having dropped me off earlier) - no injuries picked up this year (except by a mad yank who should know better at his (high number) age - gravel rash).
Another good trip, and learned lots of things:-
1) Cambodia is good, but not as good as Laos
2) I'm unlikely to return, as I've now seen everything that i wanted to see in the country (and, unfortunately, lots we would rather forget about - relating to the Khmer Rouge period of lunacy).
3) A wobbly bamboo bridge will take a huge weight without collapsing.
4) A conversation which starts with "Why doesnt the sat nav take us this shorter route?" usually ends up with an obvious answer when the road is like a bombed lunar surface, and the river crossings are so deep that the bags on the back of the bike get wet!!!!
5) There is no such thing as a 'happy hour' cheap beer in bangkok.

Can't stand Bangkok personally - don't know what people rave about.

Did you go to School 51 (or is it School 21) some bad s**t happened there.......

Never been to Laos yet - why do you like it better ?

Loved Cambodia, would like to return to take in Ankor Wat more fully.

Dave can you tell us all about it on Thursday (20th) at Coach & Horses?

I thought the centre of Bangkok was a s+(()hole: but we stayed at the Chatrium Riverside and did some superb side trips ; Bridge of the River Kwai, River cruise and biked round Ayutthaya..

Yep, went to S21 (Toel Sleung) - similar thoughts to when I went to Aushwitz - bad place, bad people - we need to remember it, but not treat it as an 'amusement' visit.

Laos is a bit like Vietnam was 10 years ago, still underdeveloped (but the Chinese are changing that by 'clearing' the big trees so that the locals can farm the land). The people are just that bit more open, and still not got into the 'scam the tourist' attitude.

I went to Bangkok 30 years ago and loved it - now it's just another 'Western' metropolis trading on its herritage. Having done the Bridge on the River Kwai, longtail boat trip, Royal Palace, Golden Buddah, stuff back then, I didnt do them again (as theyve been there so long and hardly likely to have changed much) - so there isn't anything else to attract me to the place. Okay as a regional plane hub, but no reason to go into town.

Not going to make it this month as still asleep and have a hospital appointment tomorrow for my tooth sugery. Angkor Wat (and the other temples) are well worth a visit, but down-town Siem Reap is not my sort of place - full of aging hippys and 'gap-year' travellers.

Excellent. My red car has a door in bits. Found out why window rattled a lot - one slider sheared off and brush slider missing. All sliders VERY loose and window wipe seal shot to bits.. ..watch this space

Green car hasn't sold so considering selling the red one once it's shipshape and Bristol fashion. Full service, Nardi, leather, refurbed alloys, new hood and 75K - what do you reckon?

I really don't understand why your BRG has'nt gone at that price . i can only assume its because you haven't stuck it on EBAY where you would get maximum exposure and bell end part Ex's .

I was sniffing around the red one prior to you buying it , seems like a decent car . but then so is your BRG ...

Ohh to have choices .

You could do a Rambo and buy another ?

PS I can't understand these new guys on here looking for decent cars at bargain prices and there are several M100s on here that are hitting them in the face :banghead: :banghead:
