Not a vintage year, 2020, but the best present for ages was under the tree on Christmas morning: a
thermal boiler suit! I’m now toasty warm when working in a cold garage. Call me naive, but I never even knew such a thing existed. It’s rapidly becoming an essential part of this mechanics toolkit

Next step SWMBO will be moving a bed down to the garage

Don’t give her ideas - my stepson already has his sofa (and a pile of other stuff) in temporary storage in the garage until his house purchase goes through.

No need to provide a sleeping bag if the thermal boiler suit is as good as Jonathan claims… and it's only going down to -2°C tonight.

No, it’s a Dickies, but same principle

Another case of cultural exchange for me too as when I first read your description, I was imagining a literal boiler connected to your suit, like this thing

Nice to know what you got is way more convenient (and still toasty). Congrats on the present

My brother lives in Canada, but I’d forgotten about cultural exchange
