Postby peteoddcar » Tue 06.06.2017, 09:02

Any of you going along ?
I'll hopefully go along to the the Saint Saturnin Classic British Welcome on Friday 16th
Be good to meet other LEC persons and car for natter.
I went a few years back and it was busy but I felt it was a great show - well worth the queuing.

Pretty s**t for the the Corvette team I would imagine but damn good for the Aston Martin team. That was one hell of a battle.

Porsche's no 2 recovered quite well though, tough on the no 1 car. And on Toyota.

Loved the Jackie Chan cars coming over the line together too, albeit on different laps.

Btw Steve the last 4 hours was live on ITV 2, 3 or 4.

We did find Mike and M100LAN at the GBW event. We had a great run in the car only two issues - she set a code 42 on the way down to Dover and stumbled a few times - onthe way back never missed a beat apart from an over boost pulling away from a toll on the A28. The old car cruised quite happily at around 80.loaded to the gunwales with camping gear and unused beer and wine.
A guy from Spain on our campsite says he's never saw one before but will try to buy an M100 when he's home.
A really great Le Mans especially the Pro GTs what an epic battle fir most of the race.
