LOG 34

Postby DeanG » Wed 07.08.2013, 21:42

Asheville, North Carolina
September 19 - 24, 2014

http://log34.org/

Not much information at this early date. I do know that due to hotel economics reserving a room early as possible (11-12 months in advance) will be of great benefit to the event. Asheville is 110 miles from the Tail of the Dragon and is surrounded by excellent driving roads. We have driven scenic but slow Skyline drive north from Asheville. According to my wife it is a beautiful city.

Asheville is a nice place. My wife's family is from there, and I've flown into there many times. I'm looking forward to attending this one, the first I've been able to since Birmingham.

Hmm, doubt the Elan will be with me but I may have to attend this one just to meet a few of the US Elan owners and drool over all the Lotus's.

Yeah, well, it's not that it won't make it or I don't want to bring it. It needs paint in the worst possible way. It's embarrassing sometimes. Just don't see it getting painted in time. Unless Santa drops the winning Lotto ticket down my chimney...................

Just paint 8% of it per month and it'll be done just in time.

Anyone from Philadelphia area (or parts north and coming through our area) heading down? Maybe a caravan can be arranged?
I'd like to avoid Baltimore/DC metro area and possibly take side roads down instead of the interstate to make it a more enjoyable drive? Isn't the drive there and back most of the fun anyway?

Just a reminder to those going to LOG34: I am around 125 miles away (2 hours driving time) if anyone has a question or would like to visit a shop that has several M100s disassembled.

I will also have some shift cable and short-shift kits available for anyone that might want to pick them up since they are so close.

See the Cable link: viewtopic.php?f=48&t=22461&p=298145#p298145

Have a great time at LOG!
