This year we should plan the traditional LOG M100 breakfast. Saturday tends to have way too much to do early in the morning however it does get everyone together to meet and greet. Sunday is more relaxed however LOG is already half over for many.
Some years we have had a very good turnout others not so much. It has always been held in the hotel restaurant although the New Day Cafe looks enticing and is close by.
Any suggestions?

My wife suggests getting to the area a day early to acclimate to the altitude. The top of Pikes Peak could be a bit too high for us lowlanders if we show up Friday night and go for the drive early Sunday.
Colorado Springs
Highest elevation: 7,200 ft (2,200 m)
Lowest elevation: 5,740 ft (1,750 m)
Pikes Peak Summit House 14,115 ft

Nice thought, Randy, but this is the one where we road-trip his stuff cross-country in a rented something-or-other and lay down a deposit on a storage closet to hold it over the summer. From then on, he's on his own. LOG36, here I come!

What a shame Doug, I owe you a bitter lemon or ten.
Good luck with the move - it was only 300 miles with Peter in September and that was bad enough.

I'm still bummed that I didn't get to meet with you when I picked up my car originally in San Diego! The planets are just not aligning. Maybe the universe is trying to tell us something and if we ever end up in the same room the Higgs Bosons will envelop us and kill everyone. Just a theory.

Geez - 7:30am for the group photo? And it's not at the hotel, it's at GOTG, that's a good 20 min away. So our friends from CA have to get up at what, 4:30 home-time-zone. Mighty early! Oh well, they get to live in CA the rest of the time. They must suffer a little.

3 hours sleep per night of LOG seems about right

Sent in our registration today. Soon it will be time to plan the route... Of course we need to get a car ready. That will be the tough part.
