I don't think so. My wife+kids can't go.

Looking forward to seeing everyone. LOG and McGoverns party, which we will probably miss this year, are the only places we see many of our Lotus friends.

My schedule doesn't allow me enough time to go to this one. Oh well. Next one I'll go to in my Esprit (fingers crossed).

I'm poised to purchase within the month.

Cool paint job. I think it needs shiny black wheels to make it pop a bit more. Maybe a bit of orange or red pin striping at the color change. Looking forward to hear the details once all is settled.

When I first saw it, it was all white (Pearl White, actually) and I already loved it. Then the guy went and did some Plasti-dipping to it. I haven't seen it in person yet, but I hope it looks as good as the pics. I will probably peel off the black bits right behind the side windows. I really like the look of the rest of it. I'm thinking at some point, I may remove the Plasti-dip from the top/back/mirrors/spoiler and get a carbon fibre wrap on those areas. It's just for appearance, and I think the CF would look even better.

People are checked into both hotels. I've seen: Esprit, M100, Elise, Exige, Europa. Some serious tourist work being done yesterday and today. We passed by the first retail pot store yesterday. Took the rental car to 9400 feet elevation, just under the cloud base obscuring the tops of the mountains. Today is clear. Some serious auto-x folks are already plotting their strategy for Sunday. Lotus people are meeting in the hotel bars and parking lots. Wear your Lotus logo stuff.

I'm starting to hear rumors for next year's LOG. I hope I can attend LOG 50.

We are in the LOG hotel. Lots of friends around. 5 M100s in the parking lot and at least one more on the way. The Lotus USA folks are here. There are vintage posters, racing memoribilia, three gocarts that are amazing replications of the Seven... I missed lunch while washing the car and gabbing. Gratis rootbeer floats are being served. I just dropped $70 on books and badges. Time to circulate some more.

Wish you were here!

The food at the reception was exceptional. Two sisters playing the harp. Lasar ligh show. A good lead on another Lotus. Clive Chapman, Arnie Johnson & Bobby Unser are in attendance. Must run to the photo venue.

Ten m100's and 2 more that couldn't make it due to issues. Burgers and dogs for lunch. I'm tired due to the altitude, sun and wind.

Lawrence, KS the internals of the muffler have let go. No effect except under high boost. Low boost is need to maintain 85 up the hills. The headlights don't go down when switched off. There is a new controler fitted, I will have to clean the contacts when I get home. The AC is working well.

I think we were the last M100 to leave. No touring laps at the track :( it looked like a nice place. The entire trip has been one good meal after another. We only had to visit a chain resteraunt once, last night when we went searching for food at 8:30 PM we ended up with only chains from which to chose.

Had my best beer ever. Subsuequent taste tests confirmed that Left Hand Milk Stout is my favorite beer. It was cool that the hotel had specials with Lotus related names JPS = black and tan...

I did hear of an Esprit that was stranded awaiting a new ECU. It should be ready to take a rollback to Cleveland, OH soon.

We have a line on both a Type 14 Elite and an Evora so one of our M100s and our 1967 Elan SE FHC may be for sale shortly.

Bob Dance couldn't make it this time. That slave driver  Clive Chapman said that he is back at the shop working on a type 25 getting it ready for Goodwood.

We had a nice poster which many people signed for Arnie Johnson's retirement from Lotus USA.

More when I get home.

We took the longest drive (corrected for the age of the car) award. I had hoped to get one of these awards for many years.

I can't honestly say that the drive was without incident however it was mostly smooth. The only mechanical issues were:
* The AC failing - fixed in Colorado Springs
* Internals of the muffler let go on Pikes Peak - awaiting repair at the local good muffler shop "Muffler King" I knew this would be an issue. I though it would take a bit longer to fail. We were getting poor mileage on the return trip due to this.
* Headlights will not retract on a regular basis
* Windshield washer fluid empty light stays on most of the time even though it is full - Knew this was a problem before we left. It got worse as the trip progressed.

Not bad for a new to us 24 year old car. All will be fixed in the next couple of months.

Congratulations to the three M100s to receive awards: 1st - Ottis & Debby, green towed from South Carolina, 2nd Steve, white from Texas, 3rd Dean & Claudia red from Virginia.

The trophies are unique. Three pieces of aluminum on a wood base.
