San Diego ROLLING British Car Day - 22 April

Two start points, Temecula and San Marcos, with routes to an exclusive and luxurious destination for the traditional lunch. Clicky.

The route is through back-country hills this year; twisty roads and few stoplights. Sounds wonderful!

Hope to see you there, and finally meet up. I was going to have to bail out. Yesterday on my home from work, I noticed a huge scratch up on my bumper and hood :( only one turned ou to be major scratch. I buffed it and it will need to be repainted, but I guess I will still run it. So sad, but I guess that's why there is insurance...

Probably not attending

Smaug is forlornly waiting, alone in the garage, for me to prep, detail and clean him for the drive. I am forlornly waiting for a BMW specialist in Las Vegas to figure out why he charged me $1200 to "fix" a check engine light, only to have it reappear, "fix" again and reappear - again! Original code pointed to lean mixture Not exactly the condition you want in your engine bay when your next drive is across 500KM of desert on a day predicting record high temperatures.

Grr. Arrgh. I wish the stinking e38 wasn't such a joy to drive. It's really a bad idea to have more than one simultaneous vehicular emotional attachment.

Hope you and the family are well, Geoff.

James, looks like a good time. Sorry I couldn't make it this year. Perhaps we should have our own rolling Elan day soon. Or try to start a monthly pub gathering someplace and throw it out for other Lotus owners?
