Elveden meet Sunday 7th Feb

Postby Dave Eds » Tue 02.02.2010, 22:19

I mentioned this briefly on another thread as a possibility.

Basically meet at the Elveden Farm shop on the A11 just south of Thetford, Norfolk - time to be confirmed. 10.30am

Coffee, chat, kick tyres and take a few pics. Then for those who wish a drive through some of the surrounding countryside with a stop for fish and chips or something similar.

This is basically an attempt to get as many local(ish) Lotus people together with a view to supporting the many events put on during the year throughout the region covering Herts, Essex and Cambs at one end and Norfolk and Suffolk at the other. If we can cast a wider net then all well and good.

I have attended a good few LEF (now The Lotus Forums) and East Anglian Lotus Club events over the years, as well as Lotus factory visits, coastal runs, race events at Snetterton etc. All very enjoyable, and some good friends made in the process.

Anyone up for this?

Doubt I'll be up for this as I'll be in Yorkshire on Saturday.

Why so many things going on when the roads are salty?

Hello Dave,

only just picked up the message otherwise would have been there.

Hopefully it has gone well - and thanks for being brave and risking being Johnny-no-mates in the car park. Shame about the drizzle.

If another meeting/trip is on, do let us know.

Johnny-no-mates and 2 Esprits!

Took a trip to Aldeburgh for fish and chips on the freezing cold misty murky North Sea coast - nice :-D

Good bit though was driving down some good old Suffolk DaveT type roads - think we passed your new house to Davey, couldn't hear the Esprit exhausts at that point cos of your DIYing!

And to continue the grey day theme we popped up to Sizewell
