The Hope Motor Show - Sheffield and Hallamshire Motor Club

On Monday, 20th June from 7pm.

It takes place at The Travellers Rest, Brough Lane Head, Hope Valley, S33 9HG. (Just off the A6187 between Bamford and Hope).

Normally there are over 200 competition, vintage and classic cars and bikes to admire but the visitor's car park can be just as interesting. The pub runs a BBQ and its a great family evening.

Hope some of you can come.

It's been an excellent evening out (with remarkably good weather,) for the last few years. I'll definitely be taking the Elan again.

Weather forecast is White Cloud... The organisers of this event normally get lucky...

They are expecting over 500 cars on show this year.. the biggest turn out ever...

I hope the bar has a few more staff on this year

Gary's right.....I will be attending. I'm hoping to get there at around 18:00, and my exhibitor number is #119.....

...... although it was touch-and-go as to whether I'd get my new alarm and replacement battery fitted in time (long story !! )

It's always a cracking event, with loads of interesting vehicles on display, and we've had incredibly good weather for the last few years.

Hope ( ) some of you can make it.

We were there 3 hours before it started raining Gareth so it wasn't so bad.

Another unique feature … the main road is lined with people all evening just watching the cars coming and going ... you feel obliged to put your foot down on the way out

Looks as though you had a good time there Ray. I can see there must have been a really good atmosphere. You were lucky with the rain, further west it was raining from about 6:30.

Nice photos, I particularly liked Prince Andrew phoning his mum in the first one.

The Elan Plus 2 relied on a vacuum being maintained to keep the headlamps down ... Great!
