Great Western Classic Car Show 9th-10th Feb

I’ve got my car into the Future Classics Marquee at this event!

I’ll be attending on the Sunday.
9.30-4pm at the Bath & West showground.

Anyone else up for it? I’ll be stuck there all day so could do with some company!

I'm most likely going on the Saturday, and probably taking the Land Rover (though Father may take the Elan provided it's still working).

Future Classics marquee sounds interesting, I guess that must be new!

Don't forget to wrap up really well, and then add a little bit more!

I shall definitely make sure I wrap up warm! I’ve not forgotten how cold it was last time!

I think the Future Classics Marquee is new. I saw a post on Facebook about it (appealing for 30 cars 1980-2000) and applied using the link there. I wasn’t planning to go to the show or expecting my car to be chosen!

I’m working on the Saturday so can only go on Sunday. I am quite excited about it!

It would be nice if a pass out on a Saturday would get me back in on the Sunday, but I doubt that would happen!

How was it on the Sunday Kathryn? I could only do the Saturday, but it meant we flew the Elan flag on both days!

Here you go.
Great that you took the Elan Bern. There was an S1 Elise parked where I was on Saturday.
The car got quite a bit of attention. The guy manning the Mini stand next to me noticed people were ignoring the two brand new Lotus and looking at mine.

Ahhh, I did wonder if that's where you'd be! The Elise S1 was rather nice (but not as nice as your Elan of course), much better than the 2 Lotus opposite you.

Looks like you gave it a good polish, looks very good!

Strangely, whenever I looked back to my Elan on the Saturday I could see that people were looking at the Land Rover instead! Which was nice, but there were other Land Rovers there and it's not exactly rare! Even had somebody wanting to buy it!

There was only one other Lotus in the classic car park on Saturday, an Excel.

The guy from the Lotus dealership said he preferred the Elan. I sat in the orange Elise, I didn’t dislike it!
I spotted four Lotus in the classic car park - an Elise, Exige, Esprit and Elan+2.
