this is getting incredably embarrassing.

I have booked the 'Royal Oak' at Lasham not Farringdon. Therefore you will need to refer back to the old map.

I will discuss this major mix up with you when i see you. I will phone you as well to make sure that you all go to the same place.

Chris, we reserve the right to take the p**s unmercifully until at least next Christmas, with the sole caveat that if you hadn't organised it we wouldn't be having a Christmas lunch at all. At least we have something to talk about other than cars!

Its definitely at lasham and i'm pretty sure its on the right hand side of the pub. but that depends on what way you're standing :-D

just 1 question, is that the right side, as in opposite to left, or the ight side as in dont get the wrong side..

Thanx Chris for organising the meal at the royal oak (lasham). it ws a small venue but i think it turned out well in the end, the meal was hot & a good gap in between meals.

Jim gave us a rendition of a poem he wrote, which was funny.

I had the roof up on the snotter all the way home.

Like to wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Again, thanks to Chris for organising the lunch, food was good and the surroundings cosy. A wet drive home (but no leaks in the S2).

Many thanks to Chris for organising sunday at the Royal Oak at Lashingdon.

My appologies once again to Rob regarding the bloody door "incident". Rob if it does not polish out let me know and I will sort out the repair.

Nice carol by Jim and an overall super afternoon.

At least I now guarantee plenty of space when I turn up anywhere! Doh!

Hi everyone.

A big thank you to Chris for organising the meal. It was one of the best Xmas meals I've ever had - excellent.

Good company, too.

I hope everyone got home safely despite the atrocious weather.

I, too, put the roof up on the snotter - but the passenger window needs a little adjustment to make it seat nearer the rubbers seals.

Have a good Xmas and a safe, prosperous 2007.

have to agree it was a bit on the cramped side but everything seemed to work out well. Pity about the rain on the way back, took ages getting home. Had a road rage incident which i will tell you about at the H&C or is the RO now??

Food was good though - i don't think anyone left feeling hungry :-D

Thanks to Steve for the Tea and Jim for the tongue in cheek rendition. Also to everyone for making the lunch a real success.

I think the RO would make quite a nice summer pub cos you've got the covered area overlooking the CP - what do you think?

I think the RO (Lasham) would be a good venue for the summer. As you say there is that covered area to shelter under when (not if) it rains. Easier to keep an eye on the cars, too. Mind you the H+C has got a nice garden - I think we sat there once a couple of years ago ! :wink:
