Club Lotus show returns to Donington in 2011

I'm sure the majority will like to know that the Club Lotus show will return to Donington in 2011, And not in Baltic March or April either but scheduled for the w/e of August 19 - 21. Options being looked at by CL are camping facilities for the whole w/e and a BBQ/entertainment on the Sat. night.

The exhibition hall is in a bit of a mess and the bogs have been vandalised (I didn't realise they could be any worse than they already were ) and some of the track has been extensively damaged. This is being repaired as a top priority to enable them to run the LoT Elise trophy that same w/e

We are still using Heinz 57 baked bean cans and a bit of string in the Borders to communicate. And what is broadband and dial up. I don't have that on my Amstrad computer.

Mobile phone coverage is fairly poor and the local "Phones 4 U" has a mobile the size of a brick in its window display.

Who needs all this modern stuff anyway ? I don't Twitter, Facaebook, U tube and I'm none the worse off for it

The Elan's off the road at the moment - sleepless nights due to nippers can have that effect on life.
But I've got a phone with internet access so at least I can see what's going on (and make the odd little contribution if the opportunity is too tempting to miss)!

As to mobile phones, I have to run from the church in my high heels and cassock to phone for an ambulance...
Would be quicker driving them in the Lotus to the hospital.

The Show has now been moved to 13/14 August 2011, because The Elise trophy races have been moved, the show has also been moved to keep them on the same day.
