BOLLECKS to Billy

Postby GeoffSmith » Sun 26.05.2013, 09:43

At the BOLLECKS AGM yesterday, Pete proposed a motion that Billy should be given a BOLLECKS sendoff before converting his light to LHD. The motion was passed unanimously and in true BOLLECKS tradition, the organisation (Date, time, place, dress code etc.) is duly passed on to Billy†. Over to you Billy.....

† This may have been done to allow Billy to choose something which is convenient for him, but it fits with the BOLLECKS tradition and ethos of highjacking other peoples' events and/or sloping all responsibility for arranging meetings onto anyone foolish enough to take it on.

Haha, I like this, good idea, good work!

Also thanks for PMing me, I've had very little chance to keep with forum chat for the past few months due to sorting my wedding which is in three weeks time, AND now the whole moving to France thing.

So atm I can do Wednesday evening this week, and the weather at the weekend is looking pretty good and it's the Vie en Bleu weekend at Prescott which I'll be going to. Week after that my car will getting a new roof (whoop!) and the second weekend in June I'd better keep free for wedding sorting...then basically I won't be free till July, and we leave for France at the end of July.

So, either this Wednesday evening somewhere, probably between Gloucester and Bristol, or Saturday at Prescott (the English day of the weekend, there's usually loads of Lotuses and other British sports cars) or sometime in July, what are all your thoughts?

Well I plan to go to Prescott this weekend anyway, I'll just make more of a concerted effort if I know I'm meeting people there.

In July weekends will be tricky for me but I should manage a weekday evening. Who's interested? Best to wait till July arrange it?

Okay chaps, I'm back and wed now, so when shall we have this meetup? Pete would like the week starting the 15th, so how about Thursday 18th July? I suggest somewhere south west of Gloucester, but can't think of anywhere specific right now. I suppose near Williams Automobiles in Horton near Chipping Sodbury might work for me if I order some yellow LHD dipped lamps from the aftersales list to collect there.
Cheers,
Will

Why not meet up at Silverstone for the Classics w/e - 26/28 July. Lots of excellent cars to drool over and live bands in the evening :drunk:

Having consulted my diary, I'm free!

(but then again, apart from an eye test today, an MOT tomorrow and a party on Friday night, i've got an empty diary :-D )

Time, day, location at your choice, sir - have wheels, will travel :burnout:

Having consulted my diary (and due to it being the first day of my weekend) I too am free.

I am very close to Williams (even closer when I go to my parents new house) so let me know if you want me to pick anything up Will.

With reference to my other thread any idea if they'd be a good place to go for a new windscreen (cos i might need someone local to assist with the logistics ;-) )

Ah, Dave, that's rubbish news, but I'm afraid I can't speak for their handiwork I've never had them do any work for me.

Thanks for the offer Geoff, I'll work up a list of what I need and put the order in, I'll let you know if I need a hand. I haven't a clue where would be good for us to meet down there but I'll look into it. Any thoughts?

Silverstone Classics looks good but that weekend I'll be getting on a ferry.

Irritatingly Williams only do a parts order once a week and it won't be available for me to collect on Wednesday, so I'll try and sort something else out for that.

Location wise, I need to pop into Cirencester on Wednesday so somewhere near there would be good. The only places I can think of off hand are the Tunnel Inn and The Bell at Sapperton, any thoughts or suggestions? I'll have a more thorough look tonight.

Cheers,
Will
