I have the car and a tent ... I haven't got any plans for a holiday this year as I used to go to Cornwall every summer with the ex fiancee but I would really be up for this depending on the price it is for the ferry etc etc.

If you can pass on some details to me as to rough cost, dates etc then id really appreciate it and with any luck could get booked up for this in the summer?

you can pm me or/and if you have msn I can chat on there too.

***UPDATE***

My father (ex-builder) has built shower and toilet facilities for those who are camping.

One room still available for B&B if anyone is interested (prices mentioned previously in thread).

Crossings depend on if you are going to le mans classic as to when you go. Have not arranged group crossings yet as have been up to neck in HGF :(

Aprox price is about £250 for return crossing with Brittany ferries.

Still plenty of room for camping :wink:

Booked ferry crossing!

Crossing on Friday 11th from Poole to Cherbourgh at 23.45 to arrive at 06.30 am!

Returning on Sunday 20th on high speed service departing 11.30 and arriving in Poole at 12.45

Cost was just under £230 pounds for two adults and car. I will be on site at parents from early Saturday.

It's only a hundred quid round trip in the tunnel - so long as you don't mind travelling at silly times... I think I am gonna go for that to get there sometime on the Sunday.... if I don't break down of course :D

just looked at the distance...nearly 400 each way......and thats just calais to augan......+ the bit in the UK :lol:

Just a quick update of whats going on at the moment

1) Chris T (gite) arriving on the Sun evening
2) Muley (gite) arriving Sun evening
3) Paulwatkins (B&B) arriving Sat morning
4) Dapinky (camping) TBC
5) Andy H (camping) arriving Sun TBC
6) Blacknight (parents floor) arriving Sat morning

The second B&B place has been provisionally booked.

Plenty of space for camping (there is a toilet and shower facility for campers). 8)

There is no cost for camping, just get there! :-D

I will be intending to pack a quantity of tools and provide a support vehicle type role if required.

Was good to catch up at the weekend and really looking forward to France now :-D

Will be even better when I fix the car. Luckily I have two very experienced Elan mechanics on hand for advice and motivation :D

Fingers crossed the weather will be good too.

Still room for more campers :!:
