Spoke with Dave last night on this one - trying to secure a decent exclusive track day at an attractive rate

Daves,
Do we really have to change the original dates? The Lotus bash is a whole week later! I cant see what the issue is.

Why dont we re-run the list above and ask everyone to re-confirm their commitment for the dates of 5th to the 8th of September now that we know that the Lotus Bash is on the 14th?

If theres enough of us that are happy then we go.

My guess is you'll get exactly the same people who were previously 'confirmed' will 're-confirm'.

All the others who cant make up their mind can hear about it at the Lotus Bash a week later

Thats fair enough Paul but I've now arranged something else on the basis that the date has moved to later on in the year.
Could the 'Hokey-Cokey' actually be what it's all about?

Well, if the original dates have definately been scrapped, I need to know the new dates as soon as possible.

Me and the missus have got the original dates booked off work and if I cant make the new dates I'll be starting a splinter group for anyone that wants to go on the original dates

If that makes sense? All dependant on the new dates. I must say, the later we leave it, the less likely that me and Lari will be able to get the time off work.

Paul, if you check my subtle post of the 9th March, you can redirect your question to the singular of "Daves"

Cool, I really appreciate the work DaveT and others put in behind the scenes to make these events work. Last year went like clockwork and I'm looking forward to another well organised stress free break.

Wasn't nagging but in my line of work you need to book weekends off and well in advance. I'd hate to miss out.
Currently Elan-less and on the lookout for a good one.

Not ignoring you guys but we have a problem till next week when a man who can make some decisions returns to work. As soon as I get a definitive answer from him I'll set things in motion.

All things are lined up but need further clarification before I confirm dates etc.

Some interested parties may have to accept dissapointment as I dont think I'll be able to organise this to suit everyone. But all I can say is that I'm willing to do this twice a year if there is enuff interest.

OK you guys its 24th to 27th October.
Those are the dates but due to various problems with accomodation other info is going to be a bit delayed. I hope to have this resolved within the next week. So book your time off work. I'm booked to go already.
I have booked the track day for Sat 25th am.
Leave Liverpool Fri morning, return to Liverpool Mon am.
Lets have the list brought up to date.
DaveT/SB confirmed

Dont book anything just yet- other than the days off work.

Pls wait till I can put the other bits into place.

With regard to the track day I'll post all the info for that when the other stuff is in place.

The sulby glen is a fantastic hotel... very friendly. The bar serves great food and nice beer. Run by a very nice lady called Rosie. The fastest straight on the TT circuit is exactly 200cm from the front door of the sulby glen.

Do I book it??? my Elan is knackered and I'm not 100% sure I can get it fixed in time.

There is a God up there.
Thanx!!!
Those of you wondering about this weekends cancellation may wish to reflect
- all the ferry sailings were cancelled and the island has had torrential rain causing significant flooding. If we'd have made it to Liverpool on Friday we'd have had to turn round and come home. Octobers date cannot be as bad as this weekend. Bring it on....
