BUGGER! :evil:

It's a bloody conspiracy I tell you!

I got the windscreen fitted on Monday. No problem, all happily done.

So all that remained was a quick oil change, as I was about 600 miles overdue - no big deal seeing as I use quality stuff.

Late last night I jacked the car up and took the wheel off to get access to the filter, and promptly got covered in CV grease from a split inner CV boot. :(

And I'm away now until Thursday evening so won't have chance to even look at it. Then there's the prospect of the usual fun with ball-joint splitting, which kept me off the road for a day last time, so I'm not attempting that when I'm supposed to be setting off at 7am Friday morning. So I guess I'll just have to try one of those universal clamshell types. Don't suppose anyone can get me the diameters of the driveshaft and the inner CV joint could they?

Anyone would think it (or I) didn't WANT a bloody holiday. :evil:

use one of those split boot kits to tide you over until you return from IoM.

I watched Iain (blacknight) fit one the other week, and it looked pretty good.

FYI Geordie Scouse & The Eds are both taking a spare SE wheel each in case of punctures (or worse). Others may want to consider a spare non SE wheel :wink:

You can tell Enright didnt do this one- the forecast is dry.

Route we'll be going.

M6, M6 toll, M56, Runcorn, and scenic route into town. stopping at Corley 0800 and Knutsford 0900 issssssh

Have a good trip and don`t forget to take plenty of pic`s. Better still get some footage of the trackday :wink:

Yeah, IF I can get my bloody car fixed in time! :evil:
Only just got home (pigging Manchester/Leeds traffic) and I've still got that CV boot to do, and then pack... :roll:
(BTW I'm multi-tasking - typing while eating a pizza - NOT surfing!) :P

Excellent - I'll be in the ferry yard in Lottie in a (hopefully) visible position where you can all pull up and I can say hello to everyone. I'm hoping to have a special guest turn up too - but no promises in case he can't make it.

What can I say!!!!!!!!!!

We did it in style. The photos will speak for themselves and there are lots to come from the others. A really great weekend. We were met in IOM by Derek- Inspector- Traffic Division- and all photographed!!!!!

The cars and drivers were pushed to their limits and beyond- Paul- and apart from a fuel prob with Dave Eds car they all behaved themselves pefectly both on road and on the track afternoon.

Arrived in the IOM about 2.30 and by 3.30 we were out there and doing what the Elans do best- turning heads- we were christened the "Smartie Boys" Ahhhh!!!! Sulby glen run- very tight and scary at times- there are no cyclists on this road- not anymore anyway!!!!

Short trip to Peel on Saturday morning before making our way to Jurby circuit where we met Malcolm Buckler who kindly brought his Buckler to show us. Paul, Dave Eds Neil and I all had a fantastic time on the track and others had pax rides. I managed to get a 60mph off circuit blast in the Buckler and also a few laps in an Elise.

Excellent curry on sat night.


Dawn raid at 0700. Started off in the dark from Glen Helen where we stayed and drove the TT circuit as fast as we could WOW!!!!!!!!! Sun came up at Ramsey and back to the hotel for breakfast and stories. Sunday pm we circuited the Island on some non TT roads but equally fast in parts and more scary 108mph recorded on one stretch.

We are all going again next year.........watch this space.....

Have been watching the vids- really good.

Wow! What an awesome weekend this has been :D :D

I have to say first, a huge thanks to Dave T. for organising this event it couldn’t have gone better, he even arranged good weather. Thanks mate for organising and making this happen.

This has got to be the best driving weekend ever that I’ve been on!!

This trip has given me so many happy memories which I’m sure some of which shall get out on here.

Also thanks to everyone who went, Dave Eds, Paul, Larisa, Neil, Joe and Tim for being such a good laugh, hope you all enjoyed this as much as me…I didn’t want to come home.

Thanks also to Stu (LEF IoM) for greeting us off the ferry with his special friend who caught up with some of us later on, in a blue ST!!
