Si,

Once you've RVd at Frankley which is about 3 miles north of my gaff, if you come off the M5 at Jct 4 and down the A38 (past Nick Whale's and Paul Matty's) to Jct 1 of the M42 (a 1 mile detour) I'll tag along with you (I'll sit outside Nick Whale's).
Failing that (and if you don't want to leave the motorway), I'll fall into formation as you pass Jct 1 of the M42.

Sy

Phil?

Admittedly I could not remember which services it was as I was so tired! so I drove up to Gloucester and waited :smt115

Si,

If you're heading through Monmouth, I guess you're heading to the M50 and not coming over the bridge! :) I suggest Pinky and I meet you and Punky at Strensham services around 8:00 (as it's about half an hour to Frankley southbound). That will mean Pinky and I need to leave Michaelwood at 7:30 or mine at 7:20. I sense a cunning plan....

7:20 Geoff's
7:30 Michaelwood
8:00 Strensham
8:35 Frankley Southbound
8:45 Sy's
9:05 Porridge Pot

And what's this s**t? "LEC admin. Probably the best admin in the world."

Any time before 8:30 really G. The earlier you arrive the more chance of a coffee.

House number and postcode via PM, but I think you have it anyway.

Club Lotus have just assured me that there will be no repeat of last year's debacle where non-Lotus cars were allowed to park in the cattle sheds.

Well, there goes my plan for a nice drive on the A46

Still, a motorway scenic drive is still okay i suppose - i might even get to see some esprit tail lights in the distance - it'll let me know which lanes to avoid so i don't hit any 'falling debris' as they shake loose all those 'hurredly assembled by pi$$ed-up tired blokes' parts on Si's motor :smt082
(Only joking - it was a bloody good job by top blokes with limited time, but limitless enthusiasm and inventivness for a mate in need. Having seen the result at Castle Combe it's a car that any professional restorer would put on the front page of their web site - it's one hell of an advert and something to go on a CV if any of you want a job in the industry!)

Anyway, back to the topic - 0730 Michaelwood North for the Pinkys!
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Have you seen what Punky's got?

But Si wants to stretch his legs at Frankley, so we'd better bring it forward quarter of an hour. 07:15 at Michaelwood and 07:45 at Strensham Dave. Makes you appreciate a comfortable car, doesn't it; not having to stop every hour.
