I cheated with that first post and used Tims Blackberry to sneak an early one in. :D

Now I'm really home and totally cream crackered!

What a fantastic weekend I haven't had that much fun in a very long time and in such good company too. The weather? We were so lucky it was fantastic I even got sunburnt during the track day.

I'm staggered at what a capable car the elan is. It was my first real trip in it and it cruses all day at 70 in total comfort but when the gloves came off....Wow! (and I know it has much more to give)

Big thanks go to daveT for saving us all about 50 quid in petrol on the trip up and return

I've got some nice photies of the Island and the cars will post them in a tick a few of them need a tweak with photoshop as I was on Manual appature and exposure to get some of the action shots (It will be worth the wait a few of them are good for an amature like me)

Hope this works - I've combined Paul & Larissa's photos with mine into 1 album so that they're all in one album.

picasaweb.google.co.uk/Enright13/IoM

I'll post my a bit of a synopsis of it all when my head is back where it's supposed to be, but for now I'll just say that it was a fantastic time at a great place with top company, and I won't hesitate to sign up for the next one! :D

Islandbloke (Stu) 's signature on LEF

“Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: “Wow, what a ride!!”

Any of you guys able to echo that sentiment this morning?

I am absolutely cream crackered today, I think I need a holiday

Wore you all out eh!!!!!

Me too!!! and I aint got age on my side. All that adrenalin. I think I used up my years quota.

Where do you want to go Dave? How about a short break on an Island I know? Do you want me to sort it? This weekend is free!!!!!

Hey Rip
Bookings have already started. Car will have to be in tip top order or it'll be curtains on some of them roads.
Just ask Dave Eds what its like to be stopped and see a Steel Blue Elan doing 90+ mph coming round a bend with only 100 yds to go. No furries.

Just doing the usual thank yous and heres a copy of Dereks reply-

Thanks for that David. I was the mad grinning idiot in the blue ST Focus when you were turning into Maughold on Sunday. The cars looked great. I had popped out for a quick run around, and ended up doing about 70 miles. It was a beautiful day.I really am glad you had such a good time. We’re always pleased to see responsible enthusiasts, who send out the right message.
Keep me posted on the 08 plans
Best wishes

I wouldn't call it a spin exactly; more of a scenic detour!

:burnout:

A big thankyou to Dave for organising a terrific trip!

A big thankyou to the other trippers for your wonderful company  :gathering:

And a massive thankyou to the residents of the Isle of Man for having such fantastic roads and for not having speed limits on the majority of it! :rally:

Cant wait for IoM 2008!
