oh ok, the bumbling carrot crunching yocal who thinks that you can squeeze 2 cars in a gap which is wide enough for 1 1/2 cars. I was lucky to get away with that i must admit but had we have touched the combined impact speed would have been less than 10mph. He won the game btw because he was playing on his own.

I was peddling as fast as I could, and it was into the wind, and he has more horses and a chip. BTW- you said you'd never tell!!!!

In Dave Ts defence the MX5 driver was very good and seriously quick through the bends. Daves Elan was leaving him down the straights but Mr MX5 was climbing into the boot through the bends so it was only polite to let him past. Plus Dave was carting 110 kilos of me as self loading ballast for extra cornering handicap .

Admit it everyone got a savaging by that ancient BMW

We have to be oop nooorth by 11ish

then north A14, M6, M6toll, M6....
- suggest ChrisT does M40 and M6toll....I'll leave the timing to you Chris and can you please make sure mob is turned on!!!!!. Sorry, and that it is in the car you're travelling in, and that you can hear it.
- suggest meet ChrisT and PaulW at Stafford South services 0915- but not stopping so we can get up toward Lancaster and if we dont have any problems on the M6 to stop at Forton for breaky before getting the ferry. M6 between Cheshire and Preston is horrid at the best of times so we need to be north of it on time.
These timings dont give us much leaway in the event of probs with cars or roads, so if for any reason you cannot make an rv please phone so we can sort it.

0845 sounds good. We'll be ready for a coffee break after 2 hours non-stop on the road.

TBH we are going to have to leave earlier than you think just to make the M25 more predictable. Its one of those cases, if you leave half an hour later, you'll add 1 1/2 hours to your journey. f**king traffic in this country makes me sick. So we'll be leaving here at about 5 as a consequence.
