Watched the vids again and again ystdy. Particularly like the dawn raid one. Starts off in the dark with head and tail lights disappearing into the distance. Everything is black and white to start with but as the light improves the colours come in. Great shots of cars speeding into the oblivion. Lovely shot of the sunrise as we descend from the mountains.

Will have to wait till I can edit and then do copies for each of you.

Neil goes out first, followed by the 'driving miss daisy' twins of Dave Eds and Dave T and then me.

The picture quality isn't brilliant - its one of those bullet cams that seems to overlay the images!
Any way, it gives a feel for the fun we had at the track.

It's an old one. When you get to my age it all looks like that without glasses - get use to it!

I think the problem is the mount, it allows too much vibration of the camera. It was only a diy job but it obviously needs some further adaptions......or I just go and buy a proper camera kit and mount

Hi Paul- the vids from my camera were rock steady and excellent quality, well pleased even in dark conditions. It only seemed to develop a problem when a yellow elan went past me. The PV500 recorder seemed to work really well- considering I'm a technophobe.

Now I'd like the recorder that takes input from four cameras at same time.
I could put that on my Christmas list but no one would buy it.

Seeing as it's the nice Dave .......... your thermostat is stuck open Dave.

Compare the coolant temperature of yours and Neils runs and you'll see his is steady at ~85°C whereas yours is dropping (when you speed up and get more airflow through the rad) down to temperatures that the ECU thinks the engine is warming up. A good clue is the target idle which goes up as temperature goes down.

How come you got two stats Dave? or is it just doubly stuck? Will that be twice as hard to unstick the doubly stuck double thermostat.

You should've bought those cheapo EBC discs from SW Lotus at Donny Neil. Think I paid £130 for grooved and drilled

Just sprang for 32 notes for my coolant tank that tore its self in two that weekend to find that my top hose is scrap as well heaven alone knows where I'll find a new one. Ah well the joys of running a 14 year old sports car. I have to say its bloody brilliant. Everest chip and pile of scap engine parts here I come....Fantastic!
